Alaska is known for its world class salmon fishery. Many anglers enjoy salmon fishing not only for the fight of the fish but also for the scenic views and the opportunity to see Alaskan wildlife. The two rivers that we fish are the Kasilof and the world renowned Kenai River.

The Kenai Peninsula is home to four of Alaska’s five salmon species. The four types of salmon you may catch on your excursion include the Chinook (King), Coho (Silver), Sockeye (Red), and Pink salmon. The different types of salmon run up the rivers at different times. Let us know your travel dates and we will help you decide which river suits you best!
The Kenai River is located in the city of Soldotna, located approximately 3.5 hours from Anchorage. The Kenai is predominantly fished during the months of July and August and is home to the four types of salmon on the Kenai Peninsula. July offers world class Chinook salmon fishing as well as early runs of the Sockeye salmon. August offers prime Sockeye salmon fishing and Coho salmon fishing. Fishing on the Kenai is done on a 20ft power boat that seats 4 passengers. This power boat is open to the elements so we recommend bringing rain gear and warm clothes. Typically fishing for salmon starts early in the morning and lasts until the afternoon, between 6 to 8 hours. Because of the long fishing day, we recommend packing a lunch with plenty of drinking water.
The Kasilof River is located 20 minutes south of Soldotna and is predominantly fished during the month of June. Fishing on the Kasilof is done on a drift boat that holds 4 passengers. A drift boat which is open to the elements and we fish rain or shine so be prepared for the weather, such as
rain gear and warm clothes. Typically fishing for salmon starts early in the morning and lasts until the afternoon, between 6 to 8 hours. Because of the long fishing day, we recommend packing a lunch with plenty of drinking water.
